Larne Grammar lifted the Medallion Trophy on Saturday morning at Belfast High School following a 22 – 15 win against local rivals Carrick Grammar.
Larne’s tries came from Caelan Campbell, Callum Adair (2) and Robert Moore with both Campbell and Adair prominent throughout.
Larne took a 15 – 0 lead at the start of the second half when Moore crossed to add to tries scored by Campbell and Adair in the first.
Carrick hit back with two tries either side of Adair’s second score to make it a competitive match but Larne managed to stay at least two scores clear until a determined Carrick crossed for their third try with the last play of the game.
Final score: Larne Grammar 22 Carrick Grammar 15.
