Dromore High School’s first venture in the Danske Bank Schools Cup ended in the 3rd Round with a 7 – 25 defeat to Enniskillen Royal at Barban Hill on Saturday morning.

Dromore went into an early 7 – 0 lead, thanks to an Aaron Lyttle try, converted by Ben Martin.  Despite enjoying the bulk of possession in the first half the Dromore side left a couple of scores on the pitch and Enniskillen struck back with a try and a penalty to take a 7 – 8 lead into the break.

The visitors upped their game in the second half and largely controlled proceedings, aided on several occasions by a miss-firing Dromore line out. Skins added an early try and conversion and wrapped up the game with a late penalty and a further converted try to take the game 7 – 25.

Enniskillen Royal now entertain Royal School Armagh in Round 4 of the Danske Bank Schools Cup and Dromore drop to the Bowl competition where they face an away trip to Lurgan College. Both matches take place on Saturday 4th February 2017.
