Other: Ireland team for Fiji

The Ireland XV to play Fiji in Thomond Park on Saturday, November 17th (kick off 5:30pm) has been named. There are eight Ulster players included in the match day 23 with the three uncapped youngsters, Luke Marshall, Patrick Jackson and Craig Gilroy, all starting.

Darren Cave, Dan Tuohy and veteran Iain Henderson also start with Chris Henry and Paul Marshall named on the bench.

Could be an entertaining game or it could be a pile of pish though Ireland probably have enough heavyweights on the bench to come on and secure the win in the latter stages if Fiji are proving too resistant .

Congratulations to Jackson, Gilroy and both Marshalls on making their senior début, albeit uncapped. Let’s hope it’s the first of many.
