The second women’s Qualifier at St Columbas College, Dublin, on Saturday featured two Ulster sides as Ards faced Queen’s University for the final promotion spot.
Ards had dominated the Ulster Premiership all season but a resurgent Queen’s were full of confidence after their 5 – 0 win against UCC in their last group qualifier.
Both teams started the game brightly with Katie Kimber setting the standard with a break down the left. However, the dominant force on the field was Zara Malseed who had a stormer of a game .
