On Saturday afternoon Ireland U19 Women played Wales U19 Women in a 4 Nations U19 Tournament game at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown Campus with Ireland coming put winners by 6 goals to nil.
Ireland were ruthless and set about harrying the Wales as soon as they had possession. Their aggressive defence deprived the Welsh of possession and it was no surprise when the Irish attack profited, scoring 2 goals in a 2 minute period in the first quarter as first Eva Lavelle and then Sophie Dix hit the back board.
Further pressure yielded a 2nd quarter goal from Ella Brown to leave the Irish leading 3-0 at halftime.
It was the same fare after the break, with the Welsh defence leaking 3 more goals, as Emma Paul, Ali Griffin and Aisling Murray scored to leave Ireland U19 Women thoroughly deserved 6-0 winners.
