On Saturday afternoon Ireland U19 Men played Wales U19 Men in a Four Nations Tournament game at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown Campus.
Ireland pushed Wales back from the pass off, preventing any cohesion in the Welsh midfield and shutting off a way forward. With territory and possession Ireland took the lead mid way through the first quarter through Max Anderson.
However, Ireland would have been disappointed that, despite their dominance, they went into halftime only leading 1-0.
The second half was a different story. Wales gained more possession and put together a series of attacks, which were thwarted by a stubborn Irish defence.
Despite both sides creating chances, neither could breech the others defence, leaving Ireland with a 1-0 victory.
