Club: Lisburn 19 Limavady 27

Limavady made it four wins win a row with a 19 – 27  victory over Lisburn in the Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 2 match on Saturday afternoon.

After a slow start from both sides the game sprang into life at the start of the second quarter with an unconverted try from Limavady’s . followed up shortly after, picking up a loose ball to cross unopposed. Wilson converted to push the score to 0 – 12.

Lisburn responded with a try of their own following good work from their pack and with the conversion successful the teams turned round with the score reading 7 – 12 in Limavady’s favour.

grabbed the first score after the break and with Wilson adding the conversion, to be quickly followed by a penalty, the game swung decisively in Limavady’s favour at 7 – 22.

However, the home side’s pack still had a say in the game and they worked their way up field to score through a push over try With the conversion successful, at the second attempt, the scoreboard rattled along to 14 – 22.

Limavady eventually worked their bonus point score with crashing over for an unconverted try but there was still plenty of work to do as Lisburn responded, yet again through their impressive pack, with another score from close range to take the score to 19 – 27.

The game ended without further incident, Limavady holding on to secure their fourth win on the bounce.
