On Wednesday afternoon, Saturday’s postponed game, between Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Campbell College was played at Osborne.

It was cold and the fog, which had lain across the city all day, created challenging conditions for both rugby and photography. The gallery images have more clarity and saturation than was present on the day.

Inst moved the ball quickly from kick off and in a sweeping move, started in their own half put Ben McCausland away to cross in the corner after 3 minutes for a 5-0 lead.

A midfield break had the Inst defence scampering for cover in vain as Isaac Hatch crossed in the left corner to tie the game at 5-5 on 8 minutes.

An Isaac Hatch penalty goal after 14 minutes put Campbell 8-5 up.
