On Wednesday Ulster U18 Schools hosted Leinster U18 Schools at Kingspan Stadium in second game of the Schools Interprovincial Championship. Ulster had defeated Munster in Cork, 28-15, the previous Saturday. The hot sunny day would prove the catalyst for attacking rugby.

Leinster were first on the scoreboard from a Bernard White try, converted by Luke Coffey for a 7-0 lead. Ulster responded with an Owen O’Kane penalty goal on 21 minutes for 3-7.

Only 2 minutes later Connor McVicker was on hand, when the ball was released from a lineout maul, to dive over and give Ulster an 8-7 lead.

The lead was short lived. Leinster replied after 27 minutes, when Ronan Kelly went over to put Leinster in the lead 12-7.

Nathan Noble, Ulster 2nd try scorer, soars highest at a restart . . .
