I caught up with an end of season tour match between Academy and, London side, Old Blues at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon on my way home from the Ulster Secondary School Athletics Finals.
It was a competitive game played in the right spirit over four quarters with the final result in the balance until the last play.
Old Blues took the lead in the the first quarter with the second row John Larkin powering over for a converted try from a line out in the Academy 22.
