Women’s Interprovincial: Ulster 19 Connacht 25

We sent our FRU Academy players to Ravenhill on Saturday afternoon to cover the Women’s Interprovincial 2nd Round match between Ulster and Connacht.

Ulster have not won a game in this series since Saturday 15th December 2012 which was a 5 – 18 win at the Showgrounds against Connacht and there was some hope that the 10 years of hurt would be ended with an Ulster win.

Unfortunately, it looks like it’s gong to be 11 years of hurt as a quick start by Connacht saw the visitors gain control of the game before Ulster found some form in the second half.

Connacht celebrate Clara Barrett’s opening score against Ulster.

Some poor defensive organisation . . .
