When we had originally pencilled in this fixture both teams were still in contention for the highest placed runner up slot in the Final 16 of the Schools Cup.

Unfortunately, the delays in getting the game played had seen the runners up spot go to Foyle College but both teams still gave it all in this fairly intense encounter.

There was one further delay to the scheduled kick off as we had to wait for a few corner flags to be located but we finally got underway at 10:36.

Dalriada had the best of the opening exchanges and worked themselves an early penalty which was converted by Gabriel Stubbs-Carton to give Dalriada a 0 – 3 lead five minutes in.
