In the 2nd McCullough Cup Semi Final, held a Lisnagarvey’s Ground in Royal Hillsborough, Royal Belfast Academical Institution met Lisburn rivals, Wallace High School.

This was a full bodied semi final with both teams matching passion and commitment over the 60 minutes.

After a scoreless 1st quarter the deadlock was eventually broken 30 seconds before the halftime hooter when struck from open play to given Wallace a 1-0 lead at the break.

In the 3rd quarter Inst continued to press but with no reward. They were caught on the break, when after fine play by McElhinney, scored from close range for Wallace to lead 2-0 after 43 minutes.

Both teams went close in a scoreless 4th quarter.

Wallace’s win secures a meeting with Banbridge Academy in the McCullough Cup Final next week in an ‘A1′ Final.
