Methodist College progressed to the final of the Medallion Shield with a resounding 44 – 5 win against Campbell College at CIYMS on Saturday morning.

Methody racked up a 15 – 0 lead at half time, through two tries, one converted and a penalty. Unfortunately for their Belfast rivals they continued to rack up the points through the second half, crossing for seven tries in total.

To their credit Campbell continued to battle until the end of the game, with a late try taking some of the sting out of the final scoreline.

Methodist College will now face Ballymena Academy in the final at the Kingspan Stadium on Tuesday 12th March.
