Schools: Larne Grammar 8 Friends School Lisburn 21

Larne Grammar School entertained Friends School Lisburn at the Cairncastle Road playing fields with the visitors taking the spoils with an 8 – 21 win.

The teams turned round with the Grammar leading 8 – 7 after scoring a try though and a penalty from, the always busy, in reply to an early score by Friends from the centre, converted by .

Friends enjoyed the better of the second half and kept Larne pinned in their own territory, though the home defence looked solid for large portions of the game. Jack Harte the prop broke the deadlock midway through the second half with a cheeky try off the back of the ruck and the prop crashed over for his second late in the game to seal the win. Malone converted both.
