Ferris Cup: Cookstown High 7 Banbridge Academy 0

We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Schoolboys Ferris Cup Final between Cookstown High and Banbridge Academy on Thursday Evening at Havelock Park.

Cookstown took control of the game early on with a 3rd minute goal from Archie Hall. Matthew Watters and Stanley Jackson also found the net for a 3 – 0 lead in a dominant first quarter.

Stanley Jackson had a strong game for Cookstown, picking up a Q1 goal.

Cookstown’s Noah Cuddy had been the main threat, laying up chances for his teammates, and Banbridge worked hard to shut off the continual supply of dangerous balls in the circle. They had some success in Q2 but an individual effort from Cookstown’s Watters pushed the scoreline out to 4 – 0 at half time.
