Schools Cup: Belfast Royal Academy 15 Wallace High School 28 Semi Final

On Wednesday afternoon Kingspan Stadium hosted the second semi final of the Schools Cup between Belfast Royal Academy and Wallace High School. Unlike the day before it was grey and overcast and rain threatened.

Quinn Armstrong opened the scoring for Wallace

In their first real attack of the game the large Wallace pack made ground into the BRA 22. Quinn Armstrong found a gap to score under the posts to make Josh Geddis’ conversion a formality and put Wallace 7-0 up in 4 minutes.

It became a war of attrition as the two packs battered each other between the 22s.

Another forward surge from Wallace saw the ball carried into the BRA 22. From a penalty 5 metres out Jon Rodgers crashed over, under the posts. Josh Geddis’ conversion had Wallace 14-0 up after 20 minutes.
