Richardson Cup: Campbell College 3 Methodist College 2 Quarter Final

It was a very early push back on Saturday morning for the Richardson Cup quarter final tie between Campbell College U15 and Methodist College U15. I took in the 1st 3 quarters of the game.

Ollie Moutray opened the scoring for Campbell, with 1st of his brace of goals

Campbell hit their straps early taking the lead after only 2 minutes, when Ollie Moutray stabbed home the ball from close range to put Campbell 1-0 up.

Campbell continued to press trapping Methody in their half for long periods. Gradually Methody found their rhythm and found an equaliser in the closing moments of the quarter, when Rory Bullick fired home to leave the score 1-1 at the end of the 1st quarter.

From another penalty corner Ollie Moutray’s shot hit the roof of the net to put Campbell 2-1 up after 29 minutes. Campbell led 2-1 at halftime . . .
