AIL 2A: Instonians 35 Old Crescent 17

Instonians welcomed Old Crescent to Shaw’s Bridge for an AIL 2A fixture on Saturday afternoon.

The home side got off to a strong start with a penalty try after four minutes to give Instonians a 7 – 0 lead.

Their second try followed 13 minutes later with Bradley McNamara diving over in the corner to push the score out to 14 – 0 after Josh Eagleson added the conversion.

Bradley McNamara picked up a first half try for Instonians.

In a dominant first half performance Instonians added their third try 25 minutes in with Neil Saulters getting on the scoreboard yet again and they picked up the try bonus as Hugo Ellerby went over for the fourth just before half time. Eagleson converted both to give Instonians a 28 – 0 lead at the break.
