On Thursday Royal and Prior made the long trip from Raphoe, Co Donegal to play Methodist College in a McCullough Cup Tier B fixture at Pirrie Park.
After defences being on top in the opening minutes, Royal and Prior took the lead, when Jake McKnight’s shot found the net, after 8 minutes, to put them 1-0 up.
The lead was short lived. Jonah Jackson equalised for Methody on 10 minutes. It was 1-1 at the end of the 1stquarter.
It was scoreless in a feisty 2nd quarter, with neither side able to dominate. Halftime was reached at 1 . . .
