U18 Schools Interprovincial: Ulster 27 Munster 19

On Saturday afternoon, Ulster U18 Schools met Munster U18 Schools, at Newforge Sports Complex, hoping to make it 3 wins from 3 in the Interprovincial Championship. On a sunny afternoon a strong wind blew across the pitch favouring neither side.

Munster defended early Ulster pressure but then had to soak up Munster pressure with a series of goal line stands before clearing.

Conor McVicker scores the first of his two tries for Ulster

Ulster won possession in the Munster 22, drove forward, and Conor McVicker spotted a gap in a sleeping Munster defence to dart in for the opening score after 25 minutes. His conversion had Ulster leading 7-0.

Only a couple of minutes later McVicker judged the side wind to land a 35 metre penalty goal to move Ulster out to 10-0.
