U21 Pathway Series: Ireland I 3 Ireland II 1

I caught up with the EMTEK U21 Pathway Series on Thursday afternoon at Jordanstown Sports Village. The series, which runs through to Sunday, features two Irish U21 sides who will play each other as well as U21 Pathway sides from Scotland and Wales.

The first game saw the two Irish sides meet as Ireland I, playing in green, took on Ireland II, playing in blue, in a lively opener.

Chris Curry opened the scoring for the Greens

The Blues probably had the best of the opening quarter but the only goal came from Chris Curry, 10 minutes, in to give the Greens an unlikely 1 – 0 lead.

Despite being under the cosh for most of the second quarter the Blues pulled it back to 1 – 1 at half time after . . .
