AIL 2B: Belfast Harlequins 38 Dolphin 34

Belfast Harlequins joined Queen’s University in an impromptu All Ireland double header at Newforge on Saturday with Deramore Park also waterlogged.

Quins were also involved in a big, relegation avoiding, match as they needed a win against Dolphin to give themselves a chance of climbing out of the bottom two.

Tom Morris scored a first half brace for Quins.

The home team took the game by the horns with a brace of tries from Tom Morris in the first 15 minutes, the latter converted by Charlie Beattie to give Quins a 12 – 0 lead.

In another tight match Dolphins came storming back in the second quarter with tries from Sam Boyle and Cameron O’Shaughnessy, both converted by Daryl Foley to give Dolphins . . .
