On Wednesday late lunchtime, Strathearn 2nd XI met Wallace High School 2nd XI in the final of the McDowell Plate at Stormont.

Wallace’s Beth Morrow scored the game’s solitary goal

Neither team had really settled when Wallace captain Beth Morrow found space in the D to slot home her shot for a 1-0 lead, in 3 minutes.

With the lead Wallace took the game to Strathearn closing them down. Despite Wallace chances the 1stquarter ended 1-0.
