Burney Plate: Grosvenor Grammar School 2 Methodist College 1 Final

On Tuesday afternoon, in the third game of a triple header at Havelock Park, Banbridge, Grosvenor Grammar School met Methodist College in the Burney Plate.

Grosvenor immediately took control, with their midfield stifling Methody. While Grosvenor created chances, the Methody forward line was starved of ball and only managed very occasional visits to the Grosvenor half. With all the territorial dominance and possession, one can only wonder why halftime was reached scoreless.

The 3rd quarter was the same fare. Grosvenor camped in the Methody half, unable to convert the many chances that they created. The 3rd quarter ended scoreless.

Alex Camacho celebrates his goal!

The 4th quarter exploded into life. Alex Camacho’s 51st minute strike broke the deadlock and was the cause of exuberant celebrations.
