Schools 2XV Cup: Regent House 22 Ballymena Academy 18

We caught up with the Schools 2nd XV Cup match between Regent House and Ballymena Academy on Saturday morning in Newtownards.

Ballymena had the better of the early exchanges and they opened the scoring with a penalty from Reuben Allen after 10 minutes.

Reuben Allen finished the game with a try, conversion and penalty for Ballymena.

The visitors extended their lead just after 20 minutes with an unconverted try from Luke McCloskey to take the score to 0 – 8.

Regent got on the scoreboard five minutes later with a try from Ryan Gawley, converted by Isaac Lowe to make it a one point game with the score at 7 – 8.
