On a damp greyish, Wednesday afternoon, which threatened rain, Havelock Park was the venue for the first McCullough Cup Tier A Semi Final between Banbridge Academy and Friends School.
Both sides sounded each other out in the opening minutes, before Banbridge took control.
Adam McKee converted a penalty corner, after 11 minutes to put Banbridge 1-0 up. Only 90 seconds later Josh Brownlee’s strike gave Banbridge a comfortable 2-0 lead, at the end of the 1st quarter.
