Medallion Trophy: Banbridge Academy 12 Enniskillen Royal Grammar School 12 Final

We caught up with the final of the Ulster Schools Medallion Trophy between Banbridge Academy and Enniskillen Royal Grammar School at The Royal School armagh on Thursday afternoon.

It was a tight game with defences dominating though it looked at the start that Banbridge were going to win comfortably when they worked an impressive try after four minutes when scrum half Jonny Neill sniped over for the opening score. Neill unfortunately slipped during his conversion attempt to leave the score at 5 – 0 to Bann.

Skins came battling back with their centre Jake Irwin to the fore and after a couple of surges at the line from Irwin the ball was moved left for fullback Dillon Kichen to barge over to tie the game. Irwin added the extras to give Enniskillen a 5 – 7 lead.
