Crawford Cup: Queens III 27 Portadown II 5

On Saturday afternoon, Portadown II were the visitors to The Dub, Upper Malone to play Queens III in a Crawford Cup tie.

Queens pressed from kick off, taking play close to the Portadown line on several occasions. Pressure told & Rory Ritchie crossed for Michael Fairgreave to covert to give Queens a 7 – 0 lead after 12 minutes.

Michael Fairgreave’s solo try moved Queens out to 17-0

Portadown were having difficulty getting out of their half, as Queens piled on attacks. Taylor Mitchell’s try after 20 minutes, followed Fairgreave’s solo try after 25 minutes, gave Queens a deserved 17-0 lead.
