AIL2B: Belfast Harlequins 36 Galway Corinthians 45

On Saturday, at lunchtime Galway Corinthians travelled up to Deramore Park to play Belfast Harlequins in a rearranged AIL2B fixture. Probably because of Ireland v France on television, there was a small crowd, but whether it was good attacking play or the defences were on holiday, they were treated to a high scoring thriller.

Joe Gannon scores Corinthians 1st try

Quins opened the scoring after 13 minutes, with a Tom Morris try, converted by Paul Kerr for a 7 – 0 lead. Joe Gannon’s 21st minute try and Logan Allen’s conversion equalised.

Matthew Devine’s try gave Corinthians the lead
