Championship 1: Cooke 42 Carrick 17

With our FRU Academy players training at the Dub on Wednesday night I popped over to Shaw’s Bridge to take an hour of the Championship 1 match between Cooke and Carrickfergus. I was also wanting to rey out some different camera settings under the lights.

It wasn’t Ideal conditions with a light drizzle causing the light to flare at some angles but I just about got Jack Knox crossing for Cooke’s opening try, converted by Andy McMurray, to give Cooke a 7 – 0 lead in a competitive first half.

You can just about make out Jack Knox crossing in the drizzle.

Carrick responded with an unsuccessful penalty but the visitors probably enjoyed the best of territory and possession throughout the first half. However Cooke looked to soak up the pressure and then break quickly as happened . . .
