Women’s Junior Cup: Ballynahinch 63 Portadown 0

After the U16 Hockey Interprovincial at Lisnagarvey I slipped across country for the Ulster Rugby Women’s Junior Cup match at Ballynahinch.

It was a bit of a catch up for me having missed a previous game with the ‘Hinch girls and the home side wasted no time showing me what I’d missed as they piled the pressure on Portadown from the off.

Ballynahinch’s Jemma Johnstone scored a hattrick against Portadown in the Junior Cup.

Early tries from Ballynahinch’s Rachel Morton, Paula McKay and Jemima Johnstone, all converted by Michelle Laffin, saw Hinch race to a 21 – 0 lead after 15 minutes.
