Schools Friendly: Belfast High 24 Bangor Grammar 17

I caught up with an entertaining Schools 1st XV friendly on Saturday morning as Belfast High welcomed Bangor Grammar to their Shore Road pitches.

The match kicked off earlier than billed and I missed the first 5 minutes. At the time of arrival BHS were leading 5 – 0 thanks to an Aaron Mitchell try, but Bangor were on the attack.

It took Bangor a few attempts to get over the line as the High scrambled a couple of clearances but a break by Bangor’s out half was finished off by centre Nathan Semple to take the score to 5 – 5.
