Championship 3: BHS FP 12 Monaghan 35

This is always one of our favourite Championship 3 fixtures and it didn’t disappoint this year with another delightfully feisty encounter.

Monaghan were sitting top of the league with seven wins from seven and Belfast High School Former Pupils were sitting mid table with four wins from six. After a morning of continual rain showers would the heavy pitch be a leveller?

The visitors were pretty quick out of the box putting the High School under pressure from the start in difficult handling conditions. They came close to scoring on the left only for a knock on to give BHS some respite in the opening minutes.
