All Ireland League 2C: Instonians 39 Tullamore 21

We caught up with Instonians on their return to the All Ireland League on Saturday as they welcomed Tullamore to Shaw’s Bridge for their opening AIL 2C fixture.

It didn’t take Instonians to get up and running in their new league as they attacked from the kick off and an interchange between Bevan Prinsloo and Matthew Keane ended with Prinsloo diving over for a spectacular opening try, on the left, to take a 5 – 0 lead.

Tullamore, who featured in the AIL 2C promotion play offs last season hit back within 3 minutes showing some good hands in midfield to send their left wing Liam Farrell clear, out wide, to go over in the corner, the successful conversion by Conor Dunne
