ULSTER RUGBY PREMIERSHIP: Queen’s University 47 City of Derry 5

City of Derry travelled to Belfast for an Ulster Rugby Women’s Premiership match against Queen’s University at the Dub on Sunday afternoon. Following the postponement of all games the previous weekend, this was the first league outing for both sides.

Rachael McIlroy opened the scoring for Queen’s against City of Derry.

Queen’s started the game with an expansive game plan as they looked to move the ball wide from deep and their ambition paid off fairly quickly with Rachael McIlroy scampering over under the posts following a break from Diane Ramsey. Ramsey stepped up for the conversion to give Queen’s a 7 – 0 lead after 6 minutes.
