1ST XI SUPERLEAGUE: BANBRIDGE ACADEMY 4 Royal School Dungannon 1

I caught up with one of our member schools for the second Saturday morning running as Banbridge Academy entertained Royal School Dungannon in the second round of Tier 1 matches in the Girls 1st XI Superleague.

With a busy day ahead, and slightly behind schedule push back, I was only able to take in the first half, though fortunately it appeared to be the half with most of the action, even if it did take a while for the game to warm up in what was a drizzly morning.

The first quarter was largely played in the Dungannon half with Banbridge attacking. The home team was awarded a couple of penalty corners but Dungannon coped admirably and were starting to create some chances of their own. However, the pressure eventually told and Banbridge’s Abbi . . .
