Friendly: Connacht U18 40 Ulster U18 Schools 7

On Saturday, Ulster U18 Schools travelled to MU Barnhall RFC, west of Dublin to play Connacht U18 in a double header.

From kick-off Connacht sought to starve Ulster of possession. Connacht players swarmed over isolated Ulster ball carriers, forcing turnovers or penalties. Ulster were rarely allowed out of their own half such was the Connacht dominance.

Sean Walsh’s intercept try opened the scoring for Connacht

Connacht took the lead from an interception, when Sean Walsh ran in from the halfway line. Oisin O’Neill converted for a 7-0 lead.

Ambrose Bamber forced his way over after 25 minutes. O’Neill converted and Connacht led 14-0.
