Interprovincial: Ulster 28 Connacht 26 Friendly

The final game at Enniskillen on Saturday featured the extended senior squads for Ulster and Connacht, minus their current internationals. Ulster taking the chance to look at some players from outside the AIL teams.

Unfortunately the squad was missing a couple of players I was wanting to have a look at, in Ella Durkan and Siobhan Sheerin, but there were plenty of others to catch the eye in an entertaining game.

Naomi McCord had an exceptional game for Ulster.

Ulster started well with Naomi McCourt and Niamh Marley prominent in the early exchanges. The home team got on the scoreboard after 8 minutes, the forwards working a bit of space for spikey scrum half Hannah Downey to exploit with the opening score. Out half Amanda Morton . . .
