McCrea Cup: Queens 27 Instonians 26 Semi Final

Saturday’s early kick off, at Upper Malone featured the McCrea Cup semi final between Queens II and Instonians.

Playing into the wind, Instonians took control early on, through a Josh Davidson try converted by Matthew King.

Queens started to struggle in the set piece, especially scrums, where the larger, more cohesive Instonians pack started to win penalties. This only got worse as the game progressed, with the referee eventually yellow carding a prop for persistent offending.
