On Monday the postponed Junior Cup Final between Methodist College and The Royal School Armagh was played, at Stormont, in glorious sunshine, however one should not equate sunshine with heat! As this game was for the Under 14 age group, it was played over 2 x 20 minute halves.
Both teams found it hard to impose themselves and consequently the early part of the game was bogged down in midfield.

Finally on 16 minutes the deadlock was broken. The ball found its way to Hannah Redmond and her shot hit the backboard for Armagh to take a 1-0 lead.
Despite efforts from both sides Armagh lead by a single goal at halftime.
