Ballynahinch II’s welcomed Ballymena to Ballymacarn Park on Saturday afternoon for a hotly contested Towns Cup match.

This was a closely contested Towns Cup match right from the start. Despite having to fight the elements as well as each other, both sides got stuck in. Ballymena pressed well but dogged defending kept them at bay. Some Ballynahinch indiscipline led to three penalties in the half, two of which were converted by Ballymena’s Sam Millar
