Schools Cup: Sullivan Upper School 13 Royal Belfast Academical Institution 38 Quarter Final

On Saturday morning Sullivan Upper School clashed with Royal Belfast Academical Institution in the quarter final of the Schools Cup.

It was damp and overcast and rain threatened the contest.

On almost their first excursion into Inst territory Sullivan took the lead with a Harry McKeown penalty goal.

Bryn Ward claimed Inst’s first try

Inst took a little while to respond, due, in part, to some strong Sullivan tackling. After 15 minutes Bryn Ward rumbled over from close range for their opening try, converted by Josh Eagleson, to lead 7-3.

Another McKeown penalty goal, following an Inst yellow card, reduced the gap to 7-6.
