On Saturday morning, Malone U18 played Ballyclare U18 in an Ulster Carpets U18 Regional East League game at Gibson Park.

Malone had a dominating first half

By halftime Malone had moved into a commanding lead through tries by (2), and and 3 Thornton conversions. Ballyclare responded with a single try, giving Malone a 26-5 lead at the break.

, , (2) tries and a Green hat trick try, together with 4 Fonton conversions emphasized Malone’s dominance.

Ballyclare didn’t throw the thew in

Consolation tries from and and a conversion moved Ballyclare’s total up to 17 points.

Malone had a convincing  59-17 win and a bonus point in the bag from a Ballyclare side, which didn’t throw the towel in.
