Schools Cup: Belfast High School 27 Portadown College 14

A soaking wet Saturday morning treated a large group of supports to a hard fought Schools Cup match, when Portadown College travelled to Belfast High School.

A crowd of over 100 enjoyed what turned out to be lovely running rugby when in fact it should have been a slow slog in difficult conditions. The surface at Belfast High School was impeccable but unfortunately the same could not be said about the conditions overhead.

Belfast High piled on the pressure throughout the first half.

Belfast High took the lead when Cameron Banford slotted over a penalty to give them a 3 – 0 lead on the 10th minute. The lead was quickly extended when Adam Bennett crossed the white wash only . . .
