Deep in the 2nd quarter, Evan Jennings broke the deadlock, when he scored from open play, for Leinster in the 23rdminute. Leinster lead 1-0 at halftime.

Late in the 3rd quarter, Ollie Kidd equalized for Ulster on 43 minutes, after a penalty corner. Ulster’s joy was short lived when barely a minute later Leinster restored their lead from a Ryan Spencer strike, to lead 2-1 at the close of the 3rd quarter.
