AIL Women: Cooke 7 Galwegians 47

In the second part of our double header at Shaws Bridge on Saturday afternoon it was a bit of a Halloween Horror for Cooke in the Women’s AIL as Bob Given Photography reports.

Cooke Women suffered a heavy Women’s AIL defeat for the second week in succession, this time to Galwegians.

Cooke’s try scorer Helen McGhee is held up by the Galwegians defence in the second half.

Cooke took the lead through a try, converted by . Galwegians replied with tries by , and . added 2 conversions to leave Galwegians leading 19-7 at the break.

Moments after halftime Galwegians extended their lead with a try, converted by Keane. Cooke had little in response, save for very occasional forays into the Galwegians 22.

Galwegians dominated most aspects of the game on Saturday.

Galwegians pressed home their dominance with further tries by , and , all converted by Keane, to run out 47-7 victors.
