AIL 1A: Ballynahinch 6 UCC 10

Ballynahinch welcomed UCC to Ballymacarn Park on Saturday afternoon with both sides looking for their first win in this season’s AIL.

The game had only just started when UCC broke through. The visitor’s No 12, Daniel Squires, chipping ahead for winger Matthew Bowen to run on to, his try converted by No 15, Rob Hedderman.

An early try set UCC up for the win against Hinch on Saturday.

The score stung Ballynahinch into action, and they pressed forward to earn a penalty, which Jack Milligan successfully converted.

Both teams probed and rucked throughout the half with little success but two penalties, one for each team in rapid succession increased the scores. Hedderman . . .
