We caught up with Malone RFC Women last night (Wednesday) as they held their first training session post lockdown #3.

Our photographer, Bob Given, was happy to get our snapping again and we took in the girls age grade training ahead of catching up with Malone’s new head coach as well as chatting to senior players and about the general buzz going around the club following selection for the Ireland side for the Women’s Six Nations.

You’ll find most of the interview in our Web Story below. Couple of longer videos in this one so you will need to scroll through it as it’s not automated.

We also caught up with Malone stalwart who gave us a longer interview on Jones’ success.

Chloe McIlwaine on Neve Jone’s success.

With the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2022 and the start of the Global WXV’s competition’s the year after it’s going to be an exciting time in the women’s game in Ulster and Ireland and Ulster needs teams like Malone to continue to develop their game.
