Schools Cup: Royal School Dungannon 38 Larne Grammar 0

Royal School Dungannon ran out comfortable winners in their Ulster Schools Cup third round match against Larne Grammar on Saturday morning.

The first half was reasonably competitive as Dungannon tested the Larne defence. The visitors were not able to relieve the pressure, and eventually the pressure told with and both battling to the line after periods of sustained pressure in the Larne 22.

Larne had made a few breaks but seemed to take contact too often but they still had all to play for as the teams turne round with Dungannon enjoying a 12 point lead.

Unfortunately for the visitors the home side were the first to score in the second half and the flood gates opened as , and all corossed. Jack Girvan added his second and finished the game with four conversions to give Dungannon a 38 – 0 win.

Larne battled individually throughout but, as a team, they will be disappointed they didn’t live up to their potential.
